A UK insurance company has partnered with Plaion to offer a Dead Island 2-themed life insurance policy option.
For £8,000 on top of an existing life insurance policy with the company, Dead Happy says it will “send your mates to the real LA for a zombie cocktail fuelled party before it goes to hell”.
It will cover the holder’s funeral expenses and promises to deliver “the wake to end all wakes, in your honour.”

This experience, or “Deathwish” as the company calls it, is one of several funeral experiences offered by Dead Happy. Other options include having your ashes sent to the edge of space or having a bronze statue made in your honour.
Dead Happy points out that the Dead Island 2 Deathwish is a non-legally-binding option on life insurance policies as it can’t force any surviving loved ones to travel to LA.
Almost a decade after it was first announced, Dead Island 2 was released today for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC via the Epic Games Store.
“Dead Island 2 is an extremely silly, comically violent, and consistently enjoyable experience,” according to VGC’s Dead Island 2 review. “It’s almost impossible to stop smiling while playing, such are the slapstick laughs of limbs flying off in every direction.
“LA itself is a wonderful playground of varied locations, and though we’d have preferred a fully open world, if the trade-off is the exceptional flesh system, then it’s no contest.”
