Gear and Enchanting GuidesThe Mage Tower Challenge is the first Timewalking solo challenge in the game. During it, players will be scaled down to level 45, while all gear above item level 50 will be scaled down to item level 120. These details create a lot of different opportunities to gear up for the challenge. While it is possible to complete the Mage Tower Challenge using your normal Shadowlands gear, you can increase your power significantly by using different pieces of gear, consumables, and enchants from different expansions.
