A new The Witcher 3 next-gen patch is going live later today on all platforms, bringing more fixes and improvements to the latest version of the popular open-world role-playing game developed by CD Projekt Red.
The new patch, which has been confirmed to be going live today on previous generation consoles as well on Twitter by Global Community Director Marcin Momot, will be around 2 GB big on PC and between 10 and 20 GB on consoles depending on the SKU and platform. Full patch notes will be made available as the update goes live, and we will update this post with them as soon as they are shared.
If all goes according to plan, we should be releasing a new patch for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt later today. The update will be coming to PC/PS5/XSX&S/PS4/XO (roughly 2GB on PC & between 10-20GB on consoles, depending on the SKU & platform). Patch notes will be out along with it.

Since its release late last year, The Witcher 3 next-gen was patched a couple of times on PC with some hotfixes that addressed the issues that required urgent fixes and once on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game's first major update introduced a performance mode for ray-traced global illumination on PC as well as console optimizations that sadly do not bring performance to a completely acceptable level, at least on PC.
On PC, however, players at least can use mods to improve The Witcher 3 next-gen's performance and overall experience. Several mods were released following the update's launch that not only optimize ray tracing performance but also enhance visuals considerably.
The Witcher 3 is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch worldwide.
