One Fortnite player demonstrates how strong and potentially overtuned the recently added Overclocked Pulse Rifle can be against other opponents. The newest weapon was recently added inside Fortnite's Chapter 4 Season 2 update, which saw the addition of a cyberpunk style city drenched in neon. Mega City offers plenty of places to run, shoot, and hide thanks to the addition of grind rails which gives players an all new way to get around the map.
Along with a few new points of interests around the map as well as new vehicles and characters like Renzo the Destroyer, Thunder, and Mystica, to name a few, Chapter 4 Season 2 adds in a number of new and returning weapons. Unvaulted weapons include the Cobra DMR and Dragon's Breath Sniper, but many have already seemed to find enjoyment with the newly added Kinetic Blade, which not only causes Knockback on hits, but it can utilize a devastating dash attack which almost teleports the player to their target.
Fortnite Adds New Feature to Balance Sniper Rifles
While initially overlooked in favor of some of the other announcements, Fortnite players have seemingly taken to the new Overclocked Pulse Rifle, a fully automatic weapon when fired from the hip and slower, but more powerful hitting when aimed down the sights. In fact, the weapon itself may be bugged, or at least tuned a bit too aggressively as indicated by one player on the Fortnite subReddit. In a new clip by a user named ChancetheUnrapper, they end up scoring a Victory Royale using the Overclocked Pulse Rifle to absolutely decimate the other player.
Using the automatic hip fire, the weapon appears to just laser beam the other player, eliminating them in about a second and clearly not giving them a chance to react at all.
