While there have been plenty of broken weapons over the lifespan of Call of Duty: Warzone, it appears Call of Duty: Warzone 2's successor to the first Warzone's DMR is following in that weapon's footsteps. The RPK and Fennec 45 have been dominating to this point since the latest iteration of Warzone went live, with each proving to be extremely potent weapons for longer to close-range engangements, respectively. However, the DMR's return has already seen some players uncover broken builds to bring into games, reestablishing the weapon as the top choice for most gun fights in the battle royale.
The DMR made its debut in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 as part of the Season 2: Reloaded update, serving as the update's marquee weapon for players to unlock and bring into battle. Reloaded also brought with it plenty of wider multiplayer updates for the PvP-minded Modern Warfare 2 players, most notably bringing back Drop Zone, All or Nothing, and One in the Chamber to the game's list of party modes. On the PvE side, the update brought the second episode of the Special Ops Raid continuing on from the events of the first episode's events in Atomgrad.

Reddit user AngryAnglia shared the new DMR, dubbed the Tempus Torrent, in a clip on the CODWarzone subreddit to highlight how broken the weapon already is. Angila's clip shows them taking the Tempus, equipped with a scope and 50-round magazine, to the firing range to showcase the «zero recoil» stated in the clip's title after the initial shots. It proves to be an apt description, as the clip shows the Tempus has nearly no recoil while aiming-down-sights, with Angila hitting all three mannequin targets with relative ease.
