After players defeat Death in the Defiled Necropolis arena past the Castle Outskirts and Dracula's Castle in ' DLC, they will need to find the Clock Tower in order to enter the Castle again. The final biome seen in this DLC, the Master's Keep, may only be found once Dracula awakens in his Castle following the player's victory over Death. The son of the Vampire King, Alucard, can be found in the Clock Tower to guide players into Dracula's Castle once again, now a far more dangerous biome than before.
Unlike the Castle Outskirts biome that marks the start of ' DLC, players cannot find the Clock Tower early on in their run. The desired area lies deep within the twisting halls and biomes players have become familiar with, with the only difference being Alucard's presence. Beating Death locks all progress within the DLC until players have started a new run, as finishing the first instance of Dracula's Castle simply gives an exit back into the standard biomes.

Due to the progressive nature of biomes in, there are set paths players are able to use when trying to reach the Clock Tower. While the overall biome map gives players a myriad of options to explore, it is recommended that they start by going to the Promenade of the Condemned. This area represents the fastest path with plenty of weapons from ' past update, as players can easily go to the Ramparts biome next, followed by the Black Bridge.
