Peak of Combat was originally known as Devil May Cry Mobile and is being developed by NebulaJoy under the guidance of Capcom's Devil May Cry development team.
The development of Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat started when NebulaJoy, then known as Yunchang Game, struck a deal with Capcom to bring the action-packed gameplay of the Devil May Cry series to the millions of players who use their mobile phones for gaming. Capcom naturally kept a watchful eye on the development to ensure the final product met its high standard of quality. Since the development started in 2017, NebulaJoy has conducted several closed beta tests, with an open beta for the Mainland China market in 2021. Pre-registration for the Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat global closed beta opened earlier this year, giving players a chance to take part and earn rewards regardless of whether they were selected.
