Far Cry 5 Gets 60fps Patch on Xbox and PS5 to Celebrate 5th Anniversary

Ubisoft has announced that its open-world RPG Far Cry 5 will get a 60fps patch for the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 to help celebrate its fifth anniversary.

The studio revealed the news on Twitter today: You've been waiting long enough… Welcome to Hope County!Experience Far Cry 5 in native 60 FPS - available for PS5 & Xbox Series consoles … NOW!#FarCry5 will also have a FREE WEEKEND from March 23-27 on all consoles & PC.Enjoy!#FarCry5AnniversaryIn addition to the 60fps update, there'll be a free weekend from March 23-27 for both console and PC players.

The Far Cry Twitter account teased the update yesterday, hinting at a "highly requested feature for next-gen consoles." They added that there will be several announcement over the next three weeks.
