While grenades and guns have traditionally served two distinctly different purposes in Call of Duty games, a strange new glitch captured on video by a Call of Duty: Warzone 2 player shows the two weapon types blending together in a bizarre manner. Already used to experiencing all manner of glitches in Raven Software’s free-to-play shooter, players have recently had to contend with hackers using one-shot sniper rifles in Warzone 2.
Raven Software and Infinity Ward’s Battle Royale sequel Call of Duty: Warzone 2 has faced an uphill battle with many gamers ever since the title was first announced. Thanks in part to the massive popularity of the first Call of Duty: Warzone, many players were unhappy to see a sequel being released only two years later. Exasperated gamers voiced complaints about everything from the removal of the popular Caldera map to the addition of a backpack system to the drastically reduced TTK in Warzone 2 when compared to the first game. While at least some of these issues have been addressed with post-release patches, Warzone 2 continues to be plagued by numerous technical problems that have turned some players away.

In a bizarre new clip shared on r/CODWarzone, Redditor IsDinosaur shows their character attempting to toss a snapshot grenade during a duel in Call of Duty: Warzone 2’s gulag only to have an RPK fly forth from their hands instead. The unusual glitch happens so quickly that it’s hard to see on a first viewing so IsDinosaur hopefully slows down the clip and zooms in, clearly showing a Soviet submachine gun ungracefully flipping through the air in place of the expected grenade.
