Respeccing characters in Diablo IV, the next entry in the series launching in around two months on PC and consoles, will not leave players broke, according to the franchise's General Manager.
Answering a question on Twitter, Rod Fergusson confirmed that respeccing a character won't be "prohibitively expensive" but did not provide any specifics. Additionally, the procedure has been made easier by giving players the option of refunding either a single skill point or the entire skill tree at once. A few months ago, Fergusson himself stated that for some players it might have made more sense to start a new character from scratch instead of respeccing, so it is nice to learn that this is not going to be the case.
It's not prohibitively expensive and we've made it easier by being able to refund a single skill point or the entire tree at once.
