As with all games, have a number of NPCs who will trade Pokémon with the player. These trades are located across Paldea, and each offers a unique opportunity. For players who take the time to seek them out, these NPC trades can be a welcome boon for any journey.
Although trading with other players is naturally far more diverse, some players have at times struggled to connect with fellow fans. NPC trades have always given these players a taste of the thrill of exchanging Pokémon. Nowadays, with the advent of online functionality, trading with others is now much easier. Of course, surprise trades in games have created their own problems at times, with the work of hackers leading to devastating glitches. But in any case, NPC trades have persisted, and in some cases give players Pokémon they may otherwise struggle to obtain. Excluding any DLC additions, currently include three such trades.

The first NPC to offer a trade in can be found in Cortondo. Here, a young boy standing beside the main road will offer players the opportunity to obtain a level 10 Snom. In exchange for his Snom, the boy wants a Flabébé of any color. This is a simple request to complete as the Pokémon can be found in South Province (Area Four), a brief detour on the way to Cortondo from Mesagoza. This trade’s early-game location means players are unlikely to have otherwise encountered the Ice and Bug-type, which is only found wild around Glaseado Mountain and Dalizapa Passage.
