One particular Pokemon fan, has created a delicious-looking Poliwag roll cake inspired by the popular first-generation Water-type Pokemon. Poliwag is a small, blue, tadpole-like Pokemon with large, round eyes and pink lips. Its most distinctive feature is the swirl pattern on its stomach, which is said to actually represent its internal organs that are showing through its semitransparent skin. A recognizable element of the Pokemon's design, the swirl pattern is frequently copied in fan art and memorabilia. However, this time it was replicated in a classic Swiss roll cake.

Reddit user miscellaneousmao shared an appetizing video of a Poliwag roll cake. The cake itself is a chocolate Swiss roll that was frozen, then rolled into a light and fluffy vanilla sponge cake with a layer of sweet cream filling. The outside of the roll is a light blue color, similar to Poliwag's skin tone, while the inside of the cake features Poliwag's signature swirl pattern, made from dark cocoa. Finally, to complete the Poliwag look, the Pokemon’s eyes and mouth were made from another piece of cake that was cut out separately and put together before rolling.
