Media Molecule has announced that live service support for Dreams will be discontinued on September 1.
The studio attributed the move to it focusing on a new game project. Dreams was released back in 2020 for the PlayStation 4 console.
Users can continue purchasing the title, play, and share their work after content updates have ended.
"Dreams has been a special project for Media Molecule, and helping this burgeoning community of game developers, tinkerers, creatives, collaborators, and dreamers grow and express themselves remains one of the best things we've ever done," said Media Molecule.
Additionally, the game maker announced details regarding the Dreams server migration. Among those changes, an online 5GB storage limit will be implemented for users on the server migration date.
Dreams creators can also delete their content, and the archiving feature will eventually be removed. Server migration is poised to take place in late May.
The studio has confirmed that its next title will not be a Dreams IP.
