A Pokemon fan created a sketch of what they believed the Hisuian forms of Rowlet and Dartrix would look like if they existed. The fan then posted their work on these two imagined Pokemon on social media, where other Pokemon Legends: Arceus players praised their work and wondered why only Decidueye received a new form in the Hisui region.
First appearing in Pokemon Sun and Moon for the 3DS, Rowlet is the Grass-type starter of the Alola region. It evolves into Dartrix starting at level 17, and later into Decidueye at level 34. Both Rowlet and Dartrix last made appearances in Pokemon Legends: Arceus in 2022 for the Switch. While the game is over a year old, it still held plenty of lessons that it could offer for the rest of the Pokemon series going forward. Thankfully, fan art has provided a way for Pokemon players to offer alternatives to what has yet to appear in the series.

On Reddit, a user named Kr4ckle posted some custom art on the r/Pokemon subreddit of what the Hisuian forms of Rowlet and Dartrix could look like were they in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. While the two Pokemon may appear to be simple recolors of their Alolan counterparts at first glance, Kr4ckle added a few distinct flourishes to Rowlet and Dartrix. While both Pokemon have the fall-like coloration of Hisuian Decidueye, Rowlet's bow on the front was changed from a bow-tie pattern to a five-star design. On Dartrix, the eyebrow shape was changed to go around the back of the right side of its head and the front side bow became a six-sided star shape.
