Ahead of the release of the new Pokemon anime series, The Pokemon Company revealed the new villains that will replace Team Rocket. These characters are the latest ones introduced for the upcoming Pokemon anime series, giving fans a sneak peek at the new antagonists that will try to thwart the heroes’ plans.
The final episodes of Pokemon Ultimate Journeys: The Series bid an emotional farewell to Ash Ketchum and his faithful Pikachu, as the one who tried to be the very best Pokemon trainer for over 25 years finally won the Masters Eight Tournament of the Pokemon World Coronation Series. The infamous Team Rocket, failing to enact their final plot, decided to split up at the end of this anime series with Jessie, James, and Meowth all walking in separate directions. While an era of the Pokemon anime came to an end, The Pokemon Company revealed an upcoming series following new heroes and set in the Paldea region from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

As the first episode of this upcoming Pokemon anime will air in less than a month, The Pokemon Company revealed the antagonists from this new series. Amejio and his partner Pokemon Ceruledge rule the Explorers organization, a new team of bad guys whose goal remains a mystery. Jiru and Konia are two members of this organization, alongside their partners Pokemon Rhydon and Golduck. On top of these new villains, a mysterious character joined the Pokemon anime series: Gurumin, a streamer who hides their true identity by wearing a full-body mascot suit.
The Japanese voices of these new characters may sound familiar to some viewers. Shun Horie voiced Amejio, as well as Aether in Genshin Impact and Linhardt von Hevring in Fire
