Yuri Lowenthal, the actor behind Insomniac Games' Spider-Man, has confirmed that he's finished his voice work and motion capture for Spider-Man 2.
We may have only seen one trailer for Spider-Man 2 (including that one image of Miles and Peter that is seared into all of our brains), but its development is apparently going pretty well. Not only has Insomniac officially confirmed that it'll be released by Fall 2023, but recent rumours have claimed it'll have a September release date, which seems to suggest that it's not far from being finished.

Now, the actor behind Insomniac Games' version of Spider-Man, Yuri Lowenthal, has given merit to those rumours by giving an update on his work in the game. As it turns out, he's actually completely finished with it, suggesting that Spider-Man 2 is quite far along in its development. Lowenthal announced this as part of a Q&A that took place yesterday for his role as Huckleberry the Cat in Homestead Arcana, which was, as you'd expect, instantly hit with questions about Spider-Man.
Although most of the questions were surprisingly heartfelt and more about Lowenthal's roles, two Redditors managed to get responses about the development of Spider-Man 2. Notably, Lowenthal confirmed that he'd finished both his voice work and motion capture on the game, noting that he "can't wait" for us all to play it.
This does seem to suggest that development on Spider-Man 2 is nearing the end of the finish line. Back in January, Lowenthal announced during another Q&A that he still had a "little bit of work" to do on the game, which suggests that he's managed to finish it off over the past two months.
