Original Article: The game’s due out in September, so this may not be a huge surprise, but it sounds like motion capture work on Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is complete – at least from Peter Parker’s Yuri Lowenthal, anyway. The update is short and sweet, but comes courtesy of a Reddit AMA about a completely different game. “Yup! All done!” he beamed when asked about his motion capture work on the web-slinging sequel.
Even though we’ve only seen one trailer, it’s probably safe to assume that Insomniac Games is nearing completion of its superhero release behind-the-scenes. Pretty much everyone is expecting a huge PlayStation Showcase with a focus on Spider-Man this summer, and that’s likely where we’ll learn a lot more about the anticipated sandbox game.
Lowenthal, understandably, didn’t share any other details in the aforementioned Reddit AMA, but he did insist that he “can’t wait” for fans to play it. Back in January, he indicated he had a “little bit of work” left to do on the title, but it sounds like that’s all been wrapped up now, which suggests the release is right on track for its September launch. We can’t wait!
