A highly skilled Destiny 2 fan has created an impressive 3D figurine honoring the late Lance Reddick's Commander Zavala and shared its design for free. This unique tribute to the iconic actor arrives shortly after Bungie offered its own official farewell to Reddick.
Lance Reddick was found dead at his LA home on the morning of Friday, March 17. The famous actor and musician, who played Commander Zavala in all of Bungie's Destiny games, died at 60, reportedly from natural causes.

While Destiny 2 players started gathering to pay a touching tribute to Reddick ever since the news of his passing broke, one fan recently went above and beyond to give a meaningful farewell to the actor. Dutch modeler Danny «Artdeck» van Eck created an impressive 3D figurine of Reddick's Commander Zavala holding his iconic Guardian shield, with the rendition itself seemingly being inspired by the character's appearance in Destiny 2. The overall sculpture was designed as a literal memorial to the character and comes with an engraved farewell to Reddick from the entire series fandom on the back. For context, Artdeck is a fairly prolific Destiny community artist who frequently creates such detailed assets inspired by Bungie's franchise.
The schematics for 3D-printing Artdeck's Destiny 2 Commander Zavala memorial are available for free via his CGTrader page. The artist asked that anyone who is able to do so donates to his preferred charity of choice, MOMCares, a non-profit that supports black mothers in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) who identify as being under-supported or face economic hardships.
