Bungie has confirmed that the voice of Lance Reddick, who plays the role of Commander Zavala in Destiny 2, will continue to be featured in future content. The passing of Lance Reddick shocked the Destiny 2 community this past week. Not only was Reddick the voice of one of Destiny 2's most recognized non-player character, but he was also a huge fan of the game and active within its community. That Reddick has more content recorded for Destiny 2 may prove a balm to his mourning fans.
Lance Reddick passed away on March 17 in a sudden and unexpected fashion at the age of 60. Destiny 2 players will always remember him as Zavala, but Reddick was a veteran actor known for many memorable roles. On television, he played Cedric Daniels in The Wire for six years and 60 episodes, Phillip Broyles in 90 episodes of Fringe, and more recently starred in Corporate, Bosch, and Paradise PD. In film, he's best known for his work as Charon in the John Wick series. And in video games, he also starred as Sylens in the Horizon series, plus roles inQuantum Break, Payday 2, and even50 Cent: Blood On the Sand.

Destiny 2 will always be a game closely associated with Reddick's legacy, though. Zavala has been a prominent face in the Destiny franchise going back to the original game's release in 2014. What's ingratiated Zavala as one of Destiny players' most loved NPCs isn't necessarily the character, though, but Reddick as the man behind the voice. He's shared kind messages with Destiny 2 players, embraced players' memes, and done so much to make Destiny 2 a special game.
