Honkai: Star Rail, the turnbased RPG from juggernaut developer miHoYo, will launch next week on PC and smartphones – and there had been some hope the PS5 and PS4 versions would be ready as well. Despite not having a PlayStation release date right now, fans had noted that Genshin Impact found itself in a similar situation, and still launched on consoles day-and-date with its other platforms.
However, with pre-downloads now available for the game, there’s no sign of the release appearing in the PS Store, suggesting history isn’t going to repeat itself here. An eye-watering 10 million players have pre-registered their interest in the release, which is looking likely to be one of the biggest gacha games of the year.
To mark the occasion of the pre-downloads, the studio has deployed a new trailer, showcasing a character called Seele. It’s a pretty great trailer and it’s already racked up an impressive 250k views, once again underlining just how big this game is poised to be. Are you ready to board the Astral Express? Let’s hope we get an update on the PlayStation version next week.

Sweet, now I can get screwed on the gacha in two games!
I'm installed on my Pixel 7 Pro and the iPad already, but the EGS version on PC doesn't seem to be up yet. Since Star Rail is turn based, I honestly suspect I'll play it on my phone more than anywhere else, tho. Genshin on touch controls is fine, but some of the tougher domains and stuff are just abysmal with touch. I imagine a turn based game with touch controls will be great.
