HoYoverse, the Chinese developer previously known as miHoYo and famous for its massively popular Genshin Impact game, has confirmed that Honkai: Star Rail is out now.
The next game from HoYoverse is a bit different than Genshin Impact. To begin with, it is a space fantasy roleplaying game that features turn-based instead of real-time combat.
The narrative of Honkai: Star Rail sees players traveling throughout the galaxy to discover the truth about the so-called Cancer Of All Worlds. At launch, the explorable spaces include the Herta Space Station, the snowy planet Jarilo-VI, and the massive Xianzhou Luofu spaceship.
Just like in Genshin Impact, though, Honkai: Star Rail offers various companions with different personalities and abilities that players can meet in their journeys, including Dan Heng, March 7th, Kafka, Serval, Jing Yuan, and Bailu.
To celebrate the launch, HoYoverse is hosting an All-Stars Invite event that can provide in-game prizes and even real prizes (to a handful of lucky winners) such as PlayStation 5 consoles, iPhone 14 Pro 256G, and Apple Watch Series 8 GPS Smartwatches. You can read more about that here.
Honkai: Star Rail is out now on PC (including the Epic Games Store), iOS, and Android. HoYoverse said the PlayStation version is under development and will get more details soon.
