The Alolan Grass-type starter evolution Decidueye will be featured in the next 7-Star Tera Raid event of . However, instead of its original dual-typing of Grass- and Ghost-type, Decidueye will now be Flying-type with new weaknesses and resistances. With a large move pool of three different same-type attack bonus moves, this event will give trainers another challenge ending with catching a Mightiest Mark Pokémon much like the Fighting-type Cinderace Tera Raids or the Poison- Greninja Tera Raids. The first round of the event will be from March 17th until March 19th, and if the trainer accidentally misses the first round, a second round will be featured from March 23rd to March 26th.
Decidueye Flying-type Tera Raids can be battled by trainers who have finished the main storylines in. To unlock 6- and 7-Star Raids, trainers must participate in the Academy Ace Tournament. After finishing it, the Biology teacher Jacq will prompt the trainer on «how dangerous» a 6-Star Tera Raid can be. After getting permission to join Tera Raids, trainers can find a black crystal with a Pokémon type symbol. Once the trainer connects to the Poké Portal via the internet and takes a look at the News, Decidueye will be on the map as a black shining Flying-type symbol.

With Decidueye being a physical attacker, trainers will likely find it with moves such as Brave Bird, Leaf Blade, and Spirit Shackle. These moves can be dangerous and are also expected to be stronger with status moves it can use, such as Swords Dance and Tailwind. Decidueye is also projected to have some random thrown, which, according to the Pokémon Database, could be: Low Kick, Phantom Force, or Shadow Claw.
