Bandai Namco reveals some teaser images for the upcoming Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot DLC, focused on the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament. This DLC is part of the game’s second season pass, where it provides additional story scenarios for the player to experience. The first part of Kakarot's second season pass was released earlier this year, focusing on The Father of Goku, Bardock. The end of that DLC had given fans a quick look at the next relevant story that it would cover, which is the ending of Dragon Ball before transitioning to Dragon Ball Z (at least in the anime), the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament.
The World Tournament DLC portrays many of the events from this iconic arc, this being the first time the audience gets to see Goku grow up from a kid to a young adult, or for those that started from Dragon Ball Z, a slight return to form with a familiar version of Goku. This DLC will also feature young adult versions of the cast, including the first iteration of Piccolo, where he is competing under the guise of «Majunior» to keep his demonic heritage a secret. As such, fans should expect the big climatic battle of the DLC to be the very first fight between Goku and Piccolo, with Bandai Namco teasing fans with what to expect.

This includes a key visual of the event, where Goku's fight against Piccolo from the tournament is depicted on it. Due to this being an earlier version of Goku, the hero is noticeably younger and slimmer looking, as opposed to the defined muscles he'd gain later in life. With this taking place before the events of Dragon Ball Z, this DLC could be seen as a prequel to Kakarot's own storyline, so players can look forward to pre-Z elements
