Today's fightin' day as Arc World Tour 2022 has celebrated its Finals Event. This momentous occasion also brought a new announcement for Guilty Gear Strive in the form of the next Season 2 DLC character. This character is none other than Bedman?, who will join the playable roster of characters as a purchasable fighter come April 6, 2023. This DLC will also bring with it a new stage for players to engage in fisticuffs with.
As always, the trailer for Bedman? in Guilty Gear Strive can be seen below:
Returning from Guilty Gear Xrd, Bedman? is an enigmatic character who ultimately lost his life during the story of Strive. The standout here is this character's bed which somehow acts independently. The bed carries a now reawakened Delilah and acts as her protector while staying by her side... So yes, that's why the moniker is Bedman? As opposed to the usual denomination of the character since the Bed is the playable character carrying Delilah.
Bedman's playstyle revolves around a mimic ability which can set up his opponents to get mixed up in unique ways. Now, despite the lack of its master, the bed will employ the same tactics to mimic the opponent's special attacks and close in the gap with its own moves. Delilah will just be there to enjoy the fireworks or cower in fear as the bed is pummeled by the opponents... It's a very odd world we live in, folks.
So yeah, Bedman might be dead, but his trickster playstyle will continue to live on through the very bed itself. In addition to the Season Pass 2 character, Bedman? will also come with a new stage, a reimagining of Dizzy's stage Fairy Forest Factory. At the very end of the trailer, ArcSys included a brief teaser for the next DLC character, which is expected to release in May.
