If you’re someone who dislikes April Fools’ Day, then this might be a time to take a little break from some of your favorite games. If you do get into the silly spirit of things and are a World of Warships fan, the April update features the return of Trouble in the Hot Tub.
In the returning event, you'll be able to pick an arsenal of rubber ducks, including two cruisers, two destroyers, and two battleships, armed with mines that will explode when they come into contact with enemy ships. Each class of duck also comes with different style weapons and each ship type features special duck Commanders. The event is a 9 on 9 domination mode format, and you too could win the Trouble in the Hot Tub title.
Of course, headed into a new month, there's also regular content on the way. Nine Pan American Cruisers will enter Early Access on March 31st. These have AP shells with improved ricochet angles and faster consumable reload time thanks to some improved combat instructions from Tier VI and up. With concealment advantages, but weaker armor, they’re coming for a space in strategic plans all over.
One of these ships, the Tier VII Ignacio Allende, will be available at the end of the Enhanced BattlePass, but most will come through packs. On Steam, players can grab the Tier II premium cruiser Almirante Abreu for free through April 13th.
Also in the update are some changes to the battle economy, intended to make transferring intelligence data as rewarding as dealing damage from main armament types. This should also encourage supporting your allies because the rewards are intended to be fairer now in this update. there are also game balance changes, other improvements, and much more.
