Yesterday, Gunfire Games shared a new gameplay trailer for Remnant 2 on IGN First. The video is focused on the Gunslinger, one of the new Archetypes available in the game.
Whereas Archetypes in the original game were just a starting point since everything was eventually available to every Archetype, the first choice players will have to make will also be much more important in the sequel since it comes with exclusive Archetype Skills and Archetype Perks that are unlocked through character progression.
There will be five Perk types (Prime, Damage, Team, Utility, and Relic) and three Skills, though only one Skill can be active at a time. Each Archetype also still comes with its own Trait, though even that part has been expanded; for example, when the Archetype gets to max level, its Trait is unlocked to be used in any build.

The Gunslinger is the master of high fire rate weapon handling and ammo efficiency. Their role is pure damage and the Gunslinger perks are designed around maximizing DPS. They keep the offense rolling with quick reloads, blistering weapon swaps, and constant ammo generation. The cornerstone of their perks is the prime loaded it automatically reloads both guns when an archetype skill is activated in a heated battle. A well-timed skill activation keeps the lead flying. Archetype skills are where the Gunslinger really shines. Their first skill, Quick Draw, unloads their hidden six-shooter and auto-targets nearby enemies. It's the perfect skill to leverage their Prime perk.
Their second skill, Sidewinder, cranks up the aiming, movement speed, weapon swap speed and automatically reloads weapons when you switch to them. When you want sustained damage
