Director Christopher McQuarrie took to Instagram to confirm that star Hannah Waddingham has officially joined the ensemble cast of.
The movie serves as the eighth and final installment of the blockbuster spy action franchise. Further details about Waddingham’s character are still being kept under wraps. Despite this, McQuarrie has already shared a first-look photo of her mystery character.

Waddingham first gained recognition for her memorable role as Septa Unella in. She received critical acclaim for her breakout performance as Rebecca Welton in Apple TV+ comedy, which earned her an Emmy award for Outstanding Supporting Actress.
Following the large critical and commercial success of the past two films, writer/director Christopher McQuarrie inked a deal with the studio to return to write and direct the next two installments. Joining Tom Cruise and Hayley Atwell in are returning franchise alums Rebecca Ferguson (), Simon Pegg (), Ving Rhames (), Vanessa Kirby (), and Henry Czerny ().
The upcoming films will introduce newcomers Shea Whigham (), Pom Klementieff (), and Esai Morales (, ), who will replace Nicholas Hoult () for the villain role. In addition to Waddingham, will also include Holt McCallany, Nick Offerman, and Janet McTeer.
