New Captain America: New World Order set photos feature a character many fans have been waiting to get a glimpse of. After mostly getting shots of Anthony Mackie and Liv Tyler on the set, fans can now see Harrison Ford as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross.
Ford is no stranger to blockbuster action movies. Between playing Han Solo in Star Wars and the titular hero in the Indiana Jones movies, Ford has left his mark on the sci-fi and action/adventure genres. Now, taking over the role of Thunderbolt Ross in Captain America: New World Order, Ford is finally dipping his toes into the world of superhero movies.
Thunderbolts Cast Adds Steven Yeun As An Important MCU Character
Although fans have known for some time that Ford had been recast as Thunderbolt Ross following William Hurt's death, there had been no on-set photos of him until now. In the images posted on Instagram by Cinéfilo-Man, Ford can be seen walking through what appears to be a parking lot — the location is unclear. He is dressed in a blue button-down shirt, black pants, and a black tie — an outfit in line with his presidential position. Unlike the on-set photos that preceded them, the photos of Ford do not reveal much information regarding what his character is up to or where he is. They also don't show whether Captain America: New World Order will introduce Thunderbolt Ross' hulking alter ego.
First introduced in 1962, Thunderbolt Ross has traditionally been a Hulk villain whose main objective is to hunt down the Hulk and Bruce Banner.
