Super Mario Run will allow players to check out new levels for free as part of a new event.

Nintendo announced a new event for mobile game Super Mario Run in celebration of the upcoming film. That's right; as part of the marketing for The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Nintendo will temporarily allow players to check out more of the mobile game's levels for free.
Technically, Super Mario Run is a free-to-play mobile game, giving players access to the first few courses without spending any money. But it does lock most of the game behind a $10 paywall after the first several courses.

But as part of the event, Super Mario Run gives players access to a stage that would normally cost money to play. This stage will be available for free for one day before becoming locked again, giving players temporary access. Nintendo also confirmed that linking a Nintendo Account to the game will unlock an additional stage.
The update doesn't add anything for existing players, but is more so meant to get newcomers to jump in.
In addition, the full version of Super Mario Run will be available at a discount until May 31, 2023. Super Mario Run launched in 2016, and is currently available on iOS and Android. The Super Mario
