Omega Strikers Delayed to April 2023

Developer Odyssey Interactive confirmed that the global release of its mobile air hockey game Omega Strikers has been delayed to April 2023, with plans to include several new features. These include a new affinity system, maps, and a better mechanism. The game is set to be released for PC, iOS, Android and consoles with cross-platform support.

Odyssey Interactive included new game features to make the overall experience unique and enjoyable for players.

“Now, though, we’ve got an incredibly strong roadmap for features and content that we think players will love, and we want to be realistic about the level of work it’ll take to get all this stuff ready,” an official blog post reads.

“Pushing back to April gives us needed time to develop and polish these major changes to the game, which makes us confident we’ll be able to hit this new launch target.”

Designed as a PvP-style air hockey game, up to 3 players can be on each side. Roles are decided amongst teams. These include the goalie, a striker, or “any” who can roam around the entire pitch at their own discretion. The new affinity system that Odyssey Interactive decided on enhances the chemistry among the characters and team members. It also works to help players unlock character-specific cosmetic items.

Several in-game mechanics are also polished and an upgrade to the game’s visuals are upgraded. The matchmaking system is improved, there are new victory stances, team vs team screens, and characters!

For now, players can sign up for and enjoy the open beta test for Omega Strikers on iOS and Android, which will be available until January 1, 2023. Don’t forget to check out our Hardcore Droid Review once the game is out!
