Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Is Reportedly Being Delayed Until Q4 2023
thegamer.comWhile it hasn't been offically confirmed by either Warner Bros. or developer Rocksteady at the time of writing, it's being reported that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will not meet its current release date of May 26 and is being pushed back to Q4 2023.
This delay was first revealed by Windows Central journalist Jez Cordon and then backed up by Bloomberg's Jason Schreier, but the reason for the delay is still unknown. It's thought that the overall negative reaction from fans during the latest State of Play showcase could have played a part, although delays of this nature are usually to give the developers extra time for polish. We'll have to wait for an official announcement from either Rocksteady or Warner Bros. for clarification.

It's also possible that Warner Bros. is using the opportunity to shift Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League out of an unusually busy summer period to give it the best chance of succeeding. Not only did the game originally have to compete with The Legend of Zelda : Tears of the Kingdom during the same month, but both Diablo 4 and Final Fantasy 16 are set to launch in June. It's more than likely the delay has been done to give the devs more time, but it's also managing to avoid a hectic release schedule as a result.
To say Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has a mountain to climb before release is an understatement.
