Destiny 2's new Root of Nightmares raid sets an all-time new record for the entire franchise, surpassing stats held by iconic raids such as Vault of Glass, Leviathan, and King's Fall. Endgame activity engagement in Destiny 2 appears to be on the rise since the launch of Lightfall as players desire another challenge after completing the Legendary campaign.

This is nearly triple the amount held by the previous all-time record holder, which was the Deep Stone Crypt raid at 29,253 day one clears. Additionally, Root of Nightmares has more day one clears than all other raids combined across the entire Destiny franchise. These raids include Vow of the Disciple, Garden of Salvation, Eater of Worlds, Last Wish, Scourge of the Past, and Wrath of the Machine.
