While the open-ended game has become one of the most beloved titles for its building and exploration, it has also gained a place among the speedrunning community, with players trying to complete the game as quickly as possible.
Forsen has now managed to unseat xQc and reclaim the Minecraft speedrun crown as he set a new record. It was only in early January when xQc set a new record, completing Minecraft in 20:05.651. Yes, that's just over 20 minutes, and about 32 seconds faster than Forsen's previous record. But Forsen is now once again on top following weeks of practice.

Forsen completed the game in just over 18 minutes, a staggering achievement considering how much time the streamer has managed to shave off. Forsen showed off the run in a video posted to Twitch and a clip of the record-breaking run was rapidly shared, with fans relishing in the streamer's celebrations.
xQc responded to Forsen's taunt, replying "See you in a week" and not to get "rusty with the lava thing and the one liner". That's some fighting spirit and shows the rivalry is not going anywhere, although one assumes that xQc will have to undergo a lot of prep in order to retake the record since it's an impressive new time.
Forsen and xQc have become well regarded in the Minecraft speedrunning community.
