Niantic finally did it. After more than a month of rumors and speculation, the Pokemon Go developer confirmed changes coming to Remote Raids next month. The changes will see Remote Raid Passes almost double in price starting April 6 and for Remote Raids to be limited to just five per day.
Players are not taking the changes well. Every Pokemon subreddit has seemingly exploded in anti-Niantic sentiment, with several posts being shared by multiple users calling for a strike starting April 6.

"Niantic decided to increase the price of Remote Raid Pass with no [prior] communication whatsoever. This would be a dire change for all of us, and especially rural players," reads the infographic being shared by angry Pokemon Go players. "It's about time we, as the community, showed Niantic that there are limits to our willingness to accept changes that are clearly for the worse."
The strike plan simply calls on players to not use or purchase Remote Raid Passes or boxes for an entire week after the changes go through. Additionally, Pokemon Go players are asked to not perform any more in-person Raids than they normally would do, which would send the message to Niantic that limiting Remote Raids will not actually encourage players to go out and play Pokemon Go like it's 2019.
"The only language corporations understand is money/if there's a visible decrease for a week after the change, we've made our point," the infographic concludes. "Worst case scenario: things stay the same, Niantic lost some money, and we saved some. It's a win."
