Everyone has been clamoring for more information on the Diablo IV endgame — and during the Developer Endgame Update on April 20, we certainly got more to work with! Between dungeons, paragon boards, and new legendaries, we certainly had a lot to chew on — but one of the more exciting topics of conversation was about Helltides. Diablo 4 Developer Endgame Update Summary Helltides, a new endgame system for Diablo IV, are locations within the world where the forces of Hell break through in timed invasions.
Players must go in, kill as many as they can while gathering loot, and get out all without losing anything — because the forces of Hell are stronger than normal here, and death has a price. Helltides will be the go-to for target farming loot, so they will be an extraordinarily lucrative mechanic.
Helltide Caches, activated by Cinders you collect as Helltide exclusive currency, will each have a specific, visible armor type inside — so if you need a particular Helm upgrade, you'll be able to find chests that exclusively hold Helms. Be aware though, that the forces of Hell aren't to be trifled with — while you may feel you're in a safe space, the Butcher may come out to play! We'll be creating guides to Helltides and farming once Diablo IV launches in June — in the meantime, check out some of our other guides in preparation for the Diablo IV Server Slam Weekend, happening on May 12 — 14! We can't wait to see you in Sanctuary — killing Ashava with us for that sweet new Mount Trophy! Diablo IV Content Overview Diablo IV Guide Hub Diablo IV Server Slam Weekend Details
