TCL CSOT has showcased its brand new and high-end 57.1-Inch Curved Gaming display which features a 240Hz refresh rate.
The massive gaming display was showcased by TCL at the AWE 2023 exhibition in Shanghai, China. The massive screen features a curved panel which stands on an aluminum frame and while it isn't a finalized design, it still looks as impressive as ever. The panel makes use of the HVA technology & delivers higher refresh rates, faster response times, high contrast, and better curvature with better power efficiency.
So coming back to the display itself, it is interesting that TCL CSOT is designating the new design as a gaming display which makes sense too since it does offer an ultra-wide curved design. The panel details are unknown but it comes with a maximum resolution of 7840x2160 or DUHD (Dual 4K). It's also rated with a native refresh rate of 60 Hz and all the way up to 240 Hz. The marketing team at TCL CSOT is using the 8K branding but that isn't technically true 8K as confirmed by the resolution.
TCL is also targetting eSports gamers with this display, touting its 1ms fast response time along with support for AMD's Freesync and NVIDIA's G-Sync compatibility mode which should deliver buttery smooth gaming without screen tears. We would still like to know the actual details of the panel which should be available close to the launch of the product.
