Red Dead Online Reveals Naturalist Bonuses, Double XP, and More January 2024 Plans

Rockstar Games has a new set of rewards and bonuses aimed at giving players in Red Dead Onlinea few incentives to kick off the new year. The bonuses are aimed at enhancing the in-game Naturalist role, giving extra rewards to players who interact with the game's animals and take samples across Red Dead Online's vast landscape.

Red Dead Online's gameplay is segregated between five «Specialist» roles, each covering a range of activities and conferring unique and powerful bonuses and rewards. For example, a Bounty Hunter tracks down criminals and captures or kills them for money, while a Collector unearths treasures and archaeological artifacts. Naturalists embrace the natural world, encountering and hunting down Legendary Animals in the wilderness, photographing rare beasts, and collecting and selling samples to local conservationists. Players still starting out in Red Dead Online are often encouraged to find a role they like playing and focus on it to maximize its rewards, which enables faster progress in other roles.

Rockstar detailed its Red Dead Online Naturalist bonuses in an official blog post, wishing Naturalist players a «fruitful start» to the new year.
