Almost anything can happen in the untamed open world of Red Dead Redemption 2, including Arthur flying through the air like the God of Thunder himself thanks to a strange glitch. Just like Rockstar’s various Grand Theft Auto titles, Red Dead Redemption 2 allows players to distract themselves from the story of outlaw Arthur Morgan to engage in all kinds of entertaining side activities like hunting animals for their pelts and tracking down dangerous criminals for a hefty bounty. This in turn can open the door to wild and unexpected moments, such as one unlucky player being chased off a cliff by an angry bear.
Glitches can also play a role in the many strange moments players come across during a session of Red Dead Redemption 2. Thanks to the occasional quirk in the game’s elaborate programming, fans have witnessed Arthur being launched into the stratosphere by an unwieldy rope bridge, Uncle's distinctive beard vanishing out of nowhere, and even the ruthless Lemoyne Raiders suddenly losing the will to retaliate against the player during an attack on their campsite. Other notable Red Dead Redemption 2 glitches make the experience more unsettling, with rain turning to blood and frozen corpses blinking as Arthur walks by.
Arthur’s glitch-related antics are far from over, as one Red Dead Redemption 2 player by the Reddit handle of Logical-Occasion9330 recently saw the typically mortal outlaw perform a move straight from Marvel’s Thor. According to the video clip they later shared on r/reddeadredemption, Arthur can fly a short distance by climbing up to a high roof or cliffside, standing really close to the edge, aiming with a Tomahawk Hatchet or Cleaver, activate Arthur’s slow-motion Dead Eye Targeting, start walking off the aforementioned edge, and throwing the weapon just as they start to fall. If done right, Arthur will launch himself through the air with his hatchet still in his hand.
