A new update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone has nerfed the TAQ Evolvere. The LMG was made surprisingly powerful following a recent patch for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone.
Call of Duty's February 13 update buffed a couple of weapons in the Striker 9, WSP Stinger, and TAQ Evolvere. While the improvements to the SMG and handgun were mostly well received, fans were somewhat shocked at how effective the TAQ Evolvere became. In Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer, the LMG saw its movement speed, damage, range, and 556 Belt Magazine attachment buffed. In Warzone, the TAQ Evolvere also saw its movement speed, target flinch, and 556 Belt Magazine buffed. Furthermore, users noticed that the LMG seemed to have virtually no recoil in both modes following the update, which has now been addressed inCall of Duty's newest patch notes.
Call of Duty's February 16 update resolved a bug that was causing the TAQ Evolvere's recoil issues, an improvement that should now be reflected in both Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer and Warzone. Additionally, Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer's TAQ Evolvere had its 5.56 Ammunition nerfed. As for Warzone, the TAQ Evolvere saw many more changes. Both its 7.62 Ammunition and 5.56 Ammunition were significantly nerfed, including adjustments to their damage, range, and upper body damage modifiers. Also, the new update implemented an additional improvement to Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer by allowing the DM56 and MCW 6.8 Conversion Kits to correctly progress the Prophetic Squish challenge, which is part of the Cryptic Bootcamp Event.
As for other new Call of Duty additions, Modern Warfare 3 recently added new playlists in Departures 24/7, Snipers Only, and Hordepoint: Hellhound Pound.
