One Star Wars fan thinks they've figured out exactly who Omega is in the animated seriesStar Wars: The Bad Batch. Viewers were already shocked to learn she's actually a female clone, but now, a new theory suggests that she's so much more.
The clone army in Star Wars is comprised entirely of genetic replicas made from the DNA of bounty hunter Jango Fett. The thing is, once Jango died via acute head separation at the hands of Mace Windu, the cloning facility on Kamino lost its source of material to continue creating clones. Many fans assumed this was the direct cause of certain mutations among the troopers, including the ones that created Clone Force 99 (the titular team of «defective» clones in The Bad Batch). But one particularly observant fan thinks there's much more to it.
Reddit user YodaFishFN2187 recently posted an elaborate and well-thought-out theory on the Star Wars Speculation subreddit suggesting that Omega is more than just the newest member of Clone Force 99. They claim that the entire team (sans Echo, who joined later) might be cloned directly from her rather than from Jango Fett. Referring to her as their «Holy Mother,» the idea is that Omega is the entire reason Clone Force 99 is comprised of «enhanced» members. There's plenty of evidence to back it up, as well.
Perhaps the main material supporting this theory is that Omega seems to possess, to an extent, the same characteristics as each member of the team. She has an innate talent with blasters just like Crosshair, as seen in an early episode of The Bad Batch when she managed to use one expertly without having ever picked it up before. Her senses appear to be heightened like Hunter, a trait some viewers have interpreted as her being Force-sensitive. Finally, she's got a highly intelligent and strategic mind like Tech, evidenced by her near effortless card swindling in a recent episode. The only one missing is the strength of Wrecker, though there's still plenty of time for a big reveal in that regard. 3
