Developer Warhorse Studios has confirmed it's revealing a new game on April 18 and a long-time insider says it's Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. A follow-up to Kingdom Come: Deliverance has long been expected by fans, who may be brought out of the dark soon.
Kingdom Come and its emphasis on realism was a hit among most fans. Users explored 15th-century Bohemia while playing through Henry's entertaining quests and learning to adapt to the game's challenging survival mechanics. At launch, Kingdom Come had plenty of bugs which led to somewhat mixed reviews from critics, but the game enjoyed a much better reception from fans, as it sits at a Very Positive rating on Steam and an 8.1 user score on Metacritic. As time went on, Warhorse ironed out most of the more problematic bugs and eventually released the game on all major platforms with a Switch launch in March.
It seems that fans don't need to wait long for information regarding Kingdom Come: Deliverance's anticipated sequel, as insider Tom Henderson said with certainty that Warhorse's reveal later this month is Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Warhorse's reveal is set for Thursday, April 18 at 2 p.m. EST and will be streamed on Twitch and YouTube. It's unclear what the studio plans to show, whether it's full-on gameplay or just a brief teaser. Seeing that the game's release date is possibly a year or more away, the latter does seem likely. However, this is only speculation at this point.
The original is regarded as one of the best games centered around medieval history ever released. Most fans are expecting Warhorse to continue this trend after bringing in historical experts to aid in the firstKingdom Come's development.
