The intense June release schedule continues unabated, with the Atari tinged virtual reality adventure Pixel Ripped 1978 now gold and ready for release on 15th June. For those of you who haven’t been following this, the PSVR2 game sees you assume the role as a young game designer and programmer, with the skill to travel inside the software she’s making.
If you haven’t played any of the previous Pixel Ripped titles, then you’ll likely be impressed by what you find here. The series fuses traditional retro gameplay with unique virtual reality scenarios; for example, in the original, you’re tasked with playing a side scrolling platformer on a Game Boy without attracting your teacher’s attention.
The twist here is that Atari has got officially involved, so there’ll be multiple references to real-world releases from the iconic publisher. We can’t wait!
