The next major update for Disney Dreamlight Valley may add Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother as a villager.
A new post on the official Dreamlight Valley Twitter account says: “New items are coming to a Valley near you with Update 5. For instance, no wooded path is truly complete without an artisanal bench.
“Please do try not to forget your personal belongings when stopping to take a rest, though.”
The tweet is accompanied by an image of an ornate stone bench, with a magic wand sitting on it.

Numerous replies on Twitter have pointed out that the wand looks identical to that used by the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella.
However, the bench itself also features in a scene in the movie, making it all but certain that the character will be involved in Update 5 in some way.
The early 2023 content roadmap for the game was published in January, and noted that in Update 5 “a princess races into the Valley”.
This led some to believe that Vanellope from Wreck-it-Ralph, who races a kart and is revealed to be a princess at the end of the movie, would be added in Update 5.
However, it may now be that the princess in question is Cinderella, given that a key part of Disney’s 1950 movie involved Cinderella racing away from a ball before the magic wore off on her carriage and dress.
