PS5 Remote Play Handheld Allegedly Has Just Four Hours of Battery Life | Push Square
Project Q, the new portable Remote Play device for PS5, will allegedly have just three to four hours of battery life. That’s according to an Insider Gaming report penned by Tom Henderson, who was responsible for accurately leaking the existence of the device earlier this year. The article adds that the unit is currently slated to release in November, as we noted previously.
While three to four hours isn’t an out-and-out disaster, especially considering the device is mostly intended to be used at home on a local Wi-Fi connection, it does seem a little on the low side. It’s worth noting that the unit includes all of the haptic feedback and adaptive trigger technology of the DualSense, which is likely to be a big drain on battery alongside its eight-inch LCD screen.
As before, the peripheral’s success will likely come down to pricing. Sony will realise this is a niche product with a very specific appeal, but it’ll need a reasonable asking price to entice those who have a legitimate use case for it. PlayStation boss Jim Ryan promised more would be announced later this year, so let’s await official information from the organisation.

Seems about right, sadly for all the advancements in technology, battery technology can't keep the same pace.

Was just looking to get a backbone, purely to play PS5 in other rooms in the house so I think I might just hold out for this. The price really will dictate it for me.
