One rumor that has taken root and spread around the web quite a bit is that Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater remake is in the works. Of course, that’s just a rumor, as we’re still waiting on the official announcement. But today, a new report suggests that this remake will be available across multiple platforms.
Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson has shared a new report on the upcoming rumored Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater remake. According to the industry insider, they have learned that Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater remake will not be a PlayStation exclusive. There were plenty of rumors going around that when this game does get announced and released, you’ll find it only on the PlayStation console platform.
But Insider Gaming sources have stated that this won’t be the case, and instead, you can expect the game to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and the PC platform. Although, it’s reportedly expected to make its first appearance in a brief teaser during the PlayStation Showcase event that is taking place later this week on May 24, 2023. But again, this is just said to be a teaser, so don’t expect too much showcased during this event about the game.
As for Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, this game is actually a prequel to the Metal Gear series. The game takes place during an alternate timeline of the 1960s, where players follow a young soldier on a mission to infiltrate a Soviet base to stop a nuclear weapon from going off. With the game being such a massive success, there are bound to be quite a few fans that wouldn’t mind replaying this game on modern platforms.
