According to Jeff Sneider on The Hot Mic, the release window for the next Taylor Sherdian show,, is set for this summer.
According to Sneider, the Special Ops: Lioness release date window is set for this summer. The series will reportedly debut on Paramount+ in July 2023.
“For those looking forward to a new Taylor Sheridan show, I’m told that Lioness, the one with Zoe Saldaña and Nicole Kidman, this person said it’s debuting in July,” Sneider said.
“Based on a real-life CIA program, the series follows Cruz Manuelos, a rough-around-the-edges but passionate young Marine recruited to join the CIA’s Lioness Engagement Team to help bring down a terrorist organization from within,” the official logline reads. “Saldaña will play Joe, the station chief of the Lioness program tasked with training, managing, and leading her female undercover operatives.”
Laysla De Oliveira (Locke & Key) stars as Cruz Manuelos, with Zoe Saldaña as Joe, her station chief. The ensemble features Jill Wagner as Bobby, LaMonica Garrett as Two Cups, Dave Annable as Neil, Austin Hébert as Randy, James Jordan as Tucker, Hannah Love Lanier as Kate, Jonah Wharton as Tex, Nicole Kidman as Kaitlyn Meade, and Morgan Freeman as Edwin Mullins.
Special Ops: Lioness is created by Sheridan, one of the most prolific showrunners in television. Sheridan is the creator of Yellowstone, the Western drama that continues to set viewership records on cable. Sherdian’s long line of Paramount+ shows includes 1883, 1923, Mayor of Kingstown, and Tulsa King. Sheridan’s upcoming shows, including Special Ops: Lioness, Lawmen: Bass Reeves, and Land Man, also will stream on Paramount+.
