Update: As expected following the leak earlier today, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will launch on 9th November, confirmed during the Summer Game Fest livestream. You can watch a new trailer above.
Original Article: It seems like we'll be hearing from SEGA about its Like a Dragon spin-off in the very near future. Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, which puts the focus back on Kazuma Kiryu, will almost certainly make an appearance during the RGG Summit next week, but a site may have spilled the beans a little early.
PS Deals, a site which scrapes the PS Store for prices, screenshots, and other details, has a new page all about the game, indicating the official Store has it all locked and loaded on the backend. According to the listing, which also shows several new screenshots, the release date for Like a Dragon Gaiden is 9th November 2023.
There's also an official blurb, but it doesn't really tell us anything we didn't already know. The game has you playing as Kiryu once again, only this time he's in hiding after faking his own death. Combat reverts back to the old brawler style, and the game will feature all the usual side activities the series is known for, like karaoke.
We're sure to learn more next week, when developer RGG Studio lifts the veil on Like a Dragon Gaiden, and presumably other titles in the works. Are you excited for this one? Tell us in the comments section below.
