A new Grail War is in the offing, and this one looks better than ever in Fate/Samurai Remnant, a feudal take on the long-running and rather overwhelming Fate series of interconnected IPs. We got a gorgeous new trailer, with that longed-for release date at the end: 29th September, on PS5 and PS4.
Considering its anime roots, perhaps we shouldn't be surprised to see the quality of animation on display. It has a painterly feel, and combat looks fast and frenetic, although it does make it kind of harder to determine whether specific parts are cutscenes or gameplay. Regardless, this one has our attention and RIP our collective wallets in what is already a stacked September, with Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Cyberpunk 2077's Phantom Liberty expansion, and Lies of P just the tip of the spear.
