Two weeks after the set launched in stores, one lucky Magic: The Gathering player has found the ultra-limited 1:1 serialized «The One Ring» Card.
The news comes from the collectible grading firm PSA, who posted the card’s certification verification today. The card scored a «Mint 9» on the firm’s grading scale, which is one rank away from a perfect «Gem Mint 10» score.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the Darkness bind them. We are thrilled to hear tale of a new Ring-bearer in possession of the serialized 1:1 The One Ring! This journey is finished, but the adventure with <a href=«https://twitter.com/hashtag/MTGxLOTR?src=hash&ref_src=» https:>#MTGxLOTR
's continues! pic.twitter.com/nlKqJ02Qqk
The PSA confirmed to the Wall Street Journal that the owner of the card is choosing to remain anonymous, as multiple firms have offered seven-figure bounties for the card when found. Dave and Adam’s, a store based in New York, offered $1 million, while a store based in Valencia, Spain offered $2 million.
Magic: The Gathering publisher Wizards Of The Coast released a statement after the PSA’s confirmation, which says the team is «thrilled to hear tale of a new Ring-bearer in possession of the unique serialized 1:1 The One Ring card and brought this part of the One Ring’s adventure to a close.»
Magic: The Gathering’s The Lord Of The Rings: Tales Of Middle-earth is available now.
