Immortals of Aveum is shaping up to be a big, bombastic AAA first-person shooter and a single-player one, at that. Generic fantasy setting or not, that's a rare enough treat these days, and so we were eager to learn more about it.
Featuring different colours of magic that correlate to different combat situations, there are 25 spells total for potential Immortals to choose from. Red spells are best used in close encounters, while blue ones allow for long-ranged attacks. Green, meanwhile, offers rapid firing and homing options, and utilising all in concert will be critical to success.
Recently delayed, Immortals of Aveum is now due out on 22nd August for PS5 and PS4. That's a few days ahead of Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, and so some players will likely have an interesting decision on their hands that week.
